Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging. In St. Petersburg, the Ikebana Club chapter has 80 members who meet monthly – and have put on an exhibition yearly for more than 60 years – showcasing their ikebana skills for the public.
Barbara Weisberger, a Force in American Ballet, Dies at 94
She founded the Pennsylvania Ballet, with George Balanchine as an adviser, and turned it into a nationally acclaimed company.

Barbara Weisberger, who founded the Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia with a steadfast vision that transformed the troupe into a nationally acclaimed company, died on Dec. 23 at her home in Kingston, Pa. She was 94.
