Normally, thunderstorms when they go through the bay area they dont last long or move po30 to 40 Miles Per Hour. This one was a walking pace. And you can see these areas in purple and blue. Thats the hail detected under microclimate radar here that picks up the areas with hail to accumulate, especially a cell moving as slowly as that one did. 1 to 3 inches deep in some areas. Notice we still see some intense showers, more intense lightning here off to the southwest of the low south hills heading off to the coast. You can see the thunderstorms there. James brown heard the terrible crash at 3 00 a. M. After police say a speeding car slammed into a light pole ejects three teenage passengers. One hit the window of this rite aid and died. So sad when you hear a kid that age and getting killed. Police say two cars were speeding possibly racing on west hillsdale avenue but when they approached meridian, driver lost control, slamming into the light pole. Both drivers left the scene before police arrived. Alcohol was factor in the crash. Its bad enough but you have the accident but then running away from it. Its just even worse. Driving crazy. Accelerate speed using the streets. Neighbors say street racing is something say say too often here she wont let her kids near the street alone. Theres accidents right in front of my house and theres a lot of drunk driving and it happens very often. Reporter two passengers remain in the hospital with serious injuries.
