National critics' review Critical Mass 9, exhibit open through May 15

In March, national critics traveled to Shreveport to review the collection of submitted works from literary, performing, and visual artists across northwest Louisiana. 
On March 26, the critics announced the names of the artists to receive the Critic s Choice Award in each category, which came with a $2,000 commission to return in a year s time to present with a solo show of a new, original full body of work to present to the critic(s) and audience. 
The competition is a part of the Shreveport Regional Arts Council s Critical Mass 9, a series designed for regional artists development, education, and career advancement. The unbiased critique from industry professionals is to offer artists guidance, constructive feedback, and affirmation of their talents and skills.  ....
