Probate judge admits to allegations in complaint
XENIA Greene County Probate Court Judge Thomas O’Diam answered a complaint alleging misconduct in his courtroom.
The complaint, filed March 29 with the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct of the Supreme Court, alleges that the judge violated rule 2.8(B) of the code, which states that “A judge shall be patient, dignified, and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers, court staff, court officials, and others with whom the judge deals in an official capacity, and shall require similar conduct of lawyers, court staff, court officials, and others subject to the judge’s direction and control.” ....

Probate judge keeps seat on bench

XENIA Incumbent Judge Thomas O’Diam will retain his seat in Greene County Probate Court.
O’Diam led 41,663 votes, or 61.14 percent, to challenger Mark Babb’s 26,481 votes, or 38.86 percent, according to unofficial final results from the Board of Elections. Those results were not available at press time Tuesday night.
“I’m very happy about the results because I love my job and I was hoping I’d get to stay,” O’Diam said by phone Wednesday. “I’m very humbled and appreciative of the support I received from not only individuals but all voters in Greene County, and I promise to do as I did in my first term to give it my all to give them the best public service they could possibly get.” ....
