NEWARK, NJ A coalition of anti-war groups plan to hold a protest in Newark against potential U.S. interference in Ecuador s runoff election, as well as U.S. foreign policy in Haiti. The rally will also protest other U.S.-led military conflicts, political prisoners and deportations.
According to a statement from organizers, the protest will take place at 1 Gateway in Newark at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7. Learn more
The protest is being spearheaded by groups including NJAntiWar Agenda, Green Party of New Jersey, the Black is Back Coalition, Youth Eco-Socialists, Party for Socialism and Liberation, and Voices of Haitians Living Abroad.

The war in Yemen has and created the worst humanitarian crisis in the world according to the UN. They estimate that more than 24 million people in the country, which was already one of the poorest on the planet prior to the war, will need humanitarian assistance in 2021.
The war is led by Saudi Arabia, with the involvement of the UAE, but it is backed by some key Western powers – the US, the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Canada. In particular, the US and the UK have maintained unquestioning support for Saudi Arabia since the war began and are both participants in the war. The disaster in Yemen is man-made. It is caused by the war and blockade. It can be ended
