The man suspected of killing a Clark County sheriff’s detective Friday was arrested in Salem Sunday evening, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Officials said Sunday that detectives from the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and the Salem Police Department had located and arrested Guillermo O. Raya, but did not provide additional information about the arrest. ....

At 5:08 p.m. Friday night, the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a Vancouver apartment fire that drew 20 firefighters to the scene.
Vancouver Fire Department Engine 6 arrived first at the fire at Green Leaf River Pointe apartments, 3508 N.E. 109th Ave. By that time the fire had reached the attic. Engine 6 took command of the fire to keep it from spreading, according to a VFD news release.
Additional crews arrived and helped extinguish the fire.
Only one apartment unit was displaced and apartment management made another apartment available for them.
