Our beloved mother Georgia Ann (Matthews) Hinsa, passed away on January 21, 2024 at the age of 79. Georgia was born on December 27, 1944 to Grace and Glen Matthews in Superior Wisconsin. She loved giggling with her sister Gail, spending time on Lake Superior, and ice skating, doing a trick known as “shoot the duck”. Georgia attended UW-Superior and graduated with a degree in elementary education. During college, she met her husband, Edward Hinsa, and they married on August 12, 1967. Ed and Georgia spent most of their married life on Whippoorwill Drive in Green Bay, WI raising their two daughters and enjoying the friendship of many neighbors. She attended and was involved at Incarnation Lutheran Church. Georgia spent most of her 23 teaching years at MacArthur Elementary School.
