This is an introduction to four of the greatest of American poets. In weeks one and two we will read poems by Walt Whitman and William Carlos Williams, both of whom wrote about America, about the world outside themselves. In weeks three and four we will read poems by Emily Dickinson and Wallace Stevens, both of whom wrote about their inner lives. Price: Registration is required for this event.
