County court mulls future of economic development department | Oregon

With the departure of its Economic Development director in September, the Grant County court has been faced with how to move forward with the department with ongoing obligations, grant management duties, department funding from the cities, stakeholder meetings and the now vacated department office at the L-building in John Day. On Wednesday, the Grant County Court voted unanimously to put the former Economic Development department office at 530 E. Main Street, Unit 10, on the rental market. The property is expected to fetch up to $2,500 a month or $30,000 a year for the county.
