New plants from six continents the focus The March 19 Bowen Island Garden Club meeting will feature a talk and digital slide presentation by Gary Lewis, owner of Phoenix Perennials and Specialty Plants in Richmond. Gary will speak about many fascinating garden plants that are not well known or that have recently been introduced from far-flung corners of the world. His presentation is a virtual tour of six continents featuring many rare and underused perennials that could be added to your garden Gary holds a Master of Science degree in plant ecology from the University of British Columbia, and this training is reflected in his greatly expanded nursery which includes one of the largest and most exciting selections of perennials in the lower mainland.
