New Zealand Olympic Committee commercial director Sharon van Gulik said skateboarders Bowman Hansen and Matthew Markland were taking Eke Tahi on a 41-day tour around 45 New Zealand towns and cities, joined by the Black Sticks men’s and women’s hockey teams, to celebrate the news and promote New Zealand’s Tokyo 2020 team.
The roadshow began at Kaikohe West School and would travel down to Invercargill before heading back to Auckland for its final stop in June. The skateboard was in Palmerston North for one day only.
