In a report released Thursday, the DENR 8 (Eastern Visayas) said the Asian Waterbird Census (AWC) was conducted from Jan. 9 to 20. It recorded the sighting of egrets, herons, Philippine ducks, shanks, common sandpipers, plovers, moorhens, curlews, terns, kingfishers, black-winged stilts, great knots, and crows.
