GREAT FALLS â Progress is being made on work to repair the Great Falls Civic Center. As of Friday, scaffolding covered much of the exterior of the building.

In 2020, a fence was put around the front of the building when a piece of the buildingâs facade fell off.
A contract for just more than $5.4 million was awarded in April 2021 for the repair work, and work started on June 1st.
Great Falls Mayor Bob Kelly explained, This is the get it ready stage. They re building the scaffolding so they have a safe environment to work in and access and go up and down. You don t see, really, any man-lifts here. These workers are going to be getting all their steps in by the time lunchtime comes. Great Falls City Manager Greg Doyon discusses the details of the city s state of emergency declaration during a press conference on Thursday.
The Great Falls City Commission unanimously moved to approve an overwhelmingly positive review of City Manager Greg Doyon during an annual performance evaluation Thursday afternoon.
After over an hour of discussion in a private executive session, Mayor Bob Kelly summarized their review with Doyon held in a separate Zoom meeting.
“Overall the commissioners are happy with the work that Greg is doing,” Kelly said in his summary, commending his honesty, integrity and communication skills, adding he was “always trying to do the right thing for the community and for his staff.” ....
