Partners for yet another of what i know will be a compelling presentation. These guys are money. As many of you know. We are so fortunate and privileged to be associated with them. Tonight we welcome our two guests. They had me in grade school. I was a fourthgrader when hollywood released the great escape starring james Steve Mcqueen and james garner and charles bronson, among others. All of the guys in my class fell in love with it. All of us wanted to be mcqueen. He survives. The movie was based on a true story. The escape of 76 allied soldiers escape from germany in 1944. The film pretty much gave us the real life tragic ending to that story, only three of those men who escaped state escaped. Two norwegian pilots, and another pilot from the netherlands. No americans. Ill start by saying they had me in grade school. I was a fourth grader, i think, when hollywood released the great escape. The classic adventure drama. It pretty quickly became a tv staple and all of the guys in my class at st. Josephs Elementary School in missouri fell in love with it and wed play it out at recess. Each one of us would take one of the roles. Of course all of us wanted to be mcqueen. Jack fairweather a former reporter in iraq and afghanistan and the author of a war of choice and the good war. He served as a bureau chief for the Washington Post in afghanistan and interviewing jack today is doctor Robert Jan Van pelt curator and one of the main authorities on the history of auschwitz from 97 to 98 he presided over the team that drew the master plans and participate as an Expert Witness in the case against the british historian and author david irving. Robert has published and served as a historical advisor on numerous films and curator exhibited at 2016. Before we get started i want to make a few quick housekeeping notes.
