GETTYSBURG Potter County remained unbeaten on the early boys basketball season with a 59-40 win over Jones County Wednesday.  The Battlers raced out to a 18-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back, as they improved to 4-0.  Cooper Logan scored 21 and Grant Luikens 12 to lead Potter County, while Wyatt Olson’s 18 points led the Coyotes.  In the girls basketball opener, Jones County maintained a 7-point halftime lead, but broke things open in the second half en route to a 66-45 win over Potter County.  Sophomores Mallory Valburg and Jadyn Jensen led the way with 29 and 22 points respective for the Coyotes.  Fellow sophomore Tyler Simon dropped in 21 to pace the Battlers.  Video streams of these games are available on demand on the KMLO page of drgnews.com.  Next up for Potter County will be a Saturday double-header in Hoven as they host Leola/Frederick Area.  Jones County will entertain Burke on Tuesday. ....
