South of Tama recently played their debut performance at Masquerade Harris only a few weeks ago on Feb. 16. Despite the fact that they are relatively new as a group to the music scene, they more than just warmed up the audience for main act Creeping Charlie. At the group’s first song, audience members filled.
Hosting their first Harris party, the Disability Cultural Association (DCA) welcomed students to “mask” or “unmask” –– at their Masquerade Harris. On the night of Friday, Feb. 16 into the early morning hours of Feb. 17, the Harris Center came alive for a sensory-friendly party, complete with medium-energy Americana and indie beats from debut student.
Grinnell’s student-run music-making organization, and student leaders wasted no time in staging a triumphant concert on the first weekend. Dubbed “Oliver’s Bday Bash,” the event held on Aug. 25 showcased three dynamic student bands rocking out in Gardner Lounge. Oliver Wolfe `25, a member of the Freesound student music organization, celebrated his birthday five days.
