Although Studebaker stopped making cars altogether in 1966, the Studebaker National Museum finds that the following âdisco decadeâ of the â70s has an important story to tell. âWhite vinyl tops and white leather interiors (are some things) you donât see anymore,â Studebaker National Museum Archivist Andrew Beckman says. âCars actually came in colors that werenât black, white or silver once upon a time.â The exhibit includes a 1972 Lincoln Continental MK IV, a 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville Convertible, a 1973 Ford Mustang, a 1974 Pontiac Firebird Formula 455, a 1975 SV-1, a 1976 AMC Pacer and a 1977 Ford Mustang II Ghia. With the shift away from monochromatic colors came a decrease in the size of cars as well. ....
