据扬州蜀冈-瘦西湖风景名胜区党工委书记汤卫华介绍，2019 年 9 月 26 日，扬州中国大运河博物馆正式开工建设。该项目总占地面积约 200 亩，总建筑面积 8 万平方米，其中地上 5 万平方米，地下 3 万平方米，工程建设总� ....

这座博物馆是中国大运河“百科全书”
中国大运河博物馆由中国工程院院士张锦秋团队设计，扬州负责场馆建设，南京博物院负责布展和运营。南京博物院院长龚良告诉记者，中国大运河博物馆将全流域、全时段、全方位展示2500年、3200公里中国大运河的前世今生。
据介绍，中国大运河博物馆已征集近万件文物，共设有“大运河中国的世界文化遗产”“因运而生大运河街肆印象”“运河上的舟楫”“世界知名运河与运河城市”“中国大运河艺术史诗图卷”“运河湿地寻趣”“大运河非物质文化遗产”“河之恋”“紫禁城与大运河”“隋炀帝与大运河”“大明都水监之运河迷踪”“江都王”“形影运河主题多媒介艺术展”等13个常设展和临时展，以及一个280个座位的小剧场，这14个空间共同构成中国大运河博物馆这座“百科全书”。
