Nurturing Our Queens : The Mix Tape - Santa Monica Daily Press

Nurturing Our Queens : The Mix Tape Mar. 04, 2021 at 5:00 am March is known as Women’s Month. The March gathering of Committee For Racial Justice (CRJ) on March 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. by zoom will focus on supporting self-care and wellness for women. Taking care of ourselves and our loved ones should be a guiding principle for everyone. Yet, creating self-care routines during a pandemic has been an obstacle course – especially for women of color. While learning to navigate through what appears to be a “new normal,” Black women stand at the crossroads of this reckoning as leaders, nurturers, and providers. This workshop will explore why self-care matters and how to put self-care into action – empowering the mind, body, and spirit.
