Pastor Barrie Tritle and Kristin Schwenneker, director of Children Ministries, presented Clay County UDMO with a check for $1,500 recently. This is a grant from the Grace United Methodist Church Foundation Disbursements. The money is designated for the Birthday Room Program. This program allows parents with children 8 years old and under to visit the Birthday Room and choose gifts for their child.
In May, 2023, the Missions Committee at Grace received a grant from the Grace United Methodist Church Foundation for $500 for Heifer International. This grant will enable Heifer International to provide a cow to a family in need. Rev. Barrie Tritle and Committee Chair Brownie Small decided to challenge the congregation to donate an additional $500 to purchase a second cow.
On July 16, Rev. Dr. Barrie Tritle presented the Spencer Sparks and Meadow Busy Bees 4-H clubs with a check for $1,000 from the Grace United Methodist Church Foundation. The 4-H Clubs have been working all year on their Citizenship Project, Backpacks 4 Kids. The club is providing 63 supplied backpacks and 63 earphones/earbuds for students from Preschool to eighth grade. (Photo submitted)
