Dickson County Schools will be closed Friday, announced Dickson County Schools Director Dr. Danny Weeks on Thursday afternoon due to inclement weather.
County schools daycare will also be closed.
Dickson County has seen some “minor fender benders,” but winter weather wrecks have been kept to a minimum due to precautions taken by local businesses and government offices, said the county’s emergency management director on Thursday morning.
“We have noticed a bunch of industries and businesses either not opening or running shorter days and that has helped out greatly because it keeps the traffic flow down,” said EMA Director Rob Fisher on Thursday morning. “It gives everybody time and the (Tennessee Department of Transportation) plow crews to g ....
