winter session: Govt seeks Lok Sabha nod for over Rs 1 29 lakh crore additional spending for FY24

India s government has requested approval for an additional spending of Rs 1.29 lakh crore for FY24, matched by savings of Rs 70,968 crore. The additional spending includes a Rs 13,351 crore fertiliser subsidy. Despite the additional outgo, the government expects to meet its FY24 fiscal deficit target of 5.9% of GDP.
