Doctors, para – medical staff and other concerned personnel, who because of their undaunted services round the clock rendered to the people in respect of the Corona pandemic, are rightly called as corona warriors and frontline workers as the case be. These personnel from the Health and Medical Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir deserve all encouragement and due recognition of their services in more than one ways. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha approving certain financial incentives for such warriors is appreciable and a step taken in the right direction at the right moment which apart from any financial incentives or as some compensation, is more of the recognition and appreciation of their dedicated services to the needy and the suffering in these challenging moments. Rs 10,000 pm for resident doctors, PGs, Medical Officers
Rs 7,000 pm for Nursing, Paramedical staff
Rs 5,000 pm for Drivers, Sweepers, Attendants
Jammu, May 03: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today approved special Financial Incentives for Covid-19 Warriors of Health and Medical Education Department of J&K.
Frontline workers of the Health & Medical Education Department, J&K are rendering valuable services in the challenging Covid pandemic times for saving precious lives of the patients, observed the Lt Governor.
Although the services rendered by these Covid warriors cannot be compensated, still the UT Government has decided to incentivize their efforts, the Lt Governor added.
Incentives are exclusively for those frontline workers who directly deal with Covid-19 patients. The decision will benefit more than 17,000 Corona warriors including Resident Doctors, Medical Officers, Paramedical/Nursing staff, Drivers and Class IV employees.  ....

Realizing valuable services being rendered by the employees of the Health and Medical Education amid pandemic, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday approved financial incentives for them, besides many other incentives due to the increasing number of Covid cases in the state.
Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha said that frontline workers of the Health and Medical Education Department, J&K are rendering valuable services in the challenging COVID pandemic times for saving the precious lives of the patients. JAMMU, May 3: In order to strengthen COVID control efforts across the Union Territory, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today directed for constituting COVID Management teams consisting of DC, SP, CMO, other senior officers including Principal of the concerned Government Medical College at district level, wherever available, besides local monitoring teams at Block level, Tehsil Level and Panchayat level, for effective COVID Management.
The Lieutenant Governor was chairing a meeting with Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police from across the UT, through virtual mode to review the COVID scenario in J&K. ....

LG Sinha Announces Service Extension To All Retiring Doctors, Financial Incentives for COVID Warriors
SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Monday approved special Financial Incentives for Covid-19 Warriors of Health and Medical Education Department of J&K.
The Lt Governor observed that frontline staff of the Health and Medical Education Department of J&K are providing vital services in the difficult Covid pandemic times, saving precious lives of patients.
Despite the fact that the services provided by these Covid warriors cannot be rewarded, the UT Government has agreed to reward their efforts, according to the Lt Governor.
