the country not only with evangelica evangelicals, record turn out and early votes and absentee votes. i think the answer will be yes. two years in, are white evangelicals happy with donald trump or happy with their decision to vote for him? the second question is a good way to answer that question. i think that we talk about promises made, promises kept that between mr. gorsich and mr. kavanaugh and the jerusalem embassy and now news right now on the iran sanctions. things are going the way that white evangelicals would love to see in a lot of record. i think there s more room for progress. we re working hard on the criminal justice bill that i think once this over, we ll see progress next week in d.c. on the first step back. honestly, there s a lot of boxes that are being checked now. we re not only encouraged here
president. his constituents here now his brand does have some meat on the bone when talking about voting with president trump some of the time. patrick morrisey is the attorney general. he has said he s going to stand with president trump. i caught up with him earlier. i asked if there was a moment he think he could break with the president. he couldn t list any. we talked about what else there is in the race besides trump. listen. he s tried to make the case that he voted for kavanaugh, gorsich. what s the factor besides trump between you guys? every sdindecision he makes about politics. it s calculating. he goes to the bathroom right before the vote. his name gets called, no answer. then they can to bring in susan
he wasn t going to be ladder climber. he s already running for the united states senate. now he is running on obama care. the very issue he tried to take out with pre-existing conditions. h this is a real problem for josh hawley. he says one thing and does another. is that ad convincing? i think it s probably convincing some. i think it s convincing enough that the democrats either her campaign or national that s come in, they have been running an ad saying he s a liar. they are actually using that word. it s gotten really hot, very contested on that issue. the reason is because that s issue is moving voters in missouri more than anything else. he was getting killed on her pre-existing conditions ad. mccaskill voted for gorsich and did not vote for kavanaugh. here is her statement. i ve been thorough in examining judge kavanaugh s record and
conservatives for years and years and maybe decades to come. it kind of feels like we re at the bottom point of this downward spiral of terrible partisan politics. we may just be at a way station toward an even more catastrophic politicalization down the road. liberals are trying to delegitimatize the supreme court majority to say kavanaugh and gorsich were appointed by presidents who didn t win the popular vote. merritt garland seat was stolen. the vetting process was a sham for kavanaugh. they didn t investigate the assault allegations. what that is setting up down the road when they return fouto pow is the possibility of trying to dismantle the power of that majority without having to wait for clarence thomas to leave the court. he s only by 70 years.
thought there was that s the thing. you say his team. supreme court justice. his team should be the law and the constitution. now let s return to the planet earth and say there s a $50 million campaign against him and almost a lot of mup speoney spent i campaign as well. uniform deep skepticism deep hostility toward him. people may think this was a mistake. why him? that didn t exist for justice gorsich. there were allegations that justice had been a sexist and mistreated women who had tried to seek clerkships from him and a filibuster had to be broken in other words to get him confirmed. i think there s a bit of historical rewriting going on. all i was going to say is this, it s bad that all this is happened with the supreme court. it s terrible. it s a terrible thing and the violation of our norms is a terrible thing. that said, it worked.
