Canterbury’s Telugu Badminton Club hosts its annual tournament and Christmas event Tuesday, December 22, 2020 Rizwan Mohammad With the vision to bring community members together in the spirit of sport, Telugu Badminton Club of Canterbury organised annual earlier last weekend involving badminton lovers from all age groups. Named after a renowned Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan Memorial Badminton Tournament, the tournament included Christmas celebrations at the end of the games, sponsored by small community businesses in the region. The competition was open to everyone from different levels of playing, different nationalities and ethnicities. Winners-A The tournament has 48 players participating in 24 doubles teams and ensured that every player received a fair chance to play a minimum of nine games each. ....
