The Terms of Reference for Orangeville’s Men’s Homelessness Committee were approved at Monday (May 31) night’s regular Council meeting.
The committee will be comprised of Mayor Sandy Brown, two councillors and six members of the public.
During this week’s Council meeting, Coun. Debbie Sherwood put her name forward to be on the Council. She said she had the opportunity to speak with Pastor Matthew McLean who runs the Good Friends Church, which offers a community meal program and homeless supports, as well as Terrance Carter of Carters Law, who has been a large advocate for men’s homelessness locally, and she’s interested in addressing the issue.
