CANTON Deluxe hot dogs are going gangbusters at the downtown board-game bar Milestone.
More than 240 of the $5 dogs were gobbled up by Milestone gamers in the first week of their recent menu launch.
And it s no wonder. The four hot dogs I sampled last week were sensational, starting with the jumbo Angus beef wieners and toasted Nickles buns, both packing plenty of flavor. (Plant-based wieners also are available.)
My favorite was the Takeout Dog, topped with housemade soy ginger coleslaw, sweet and sour sauce, scallions, toasted sesame seeds and crispy wonton strips.
A close second was the Mexican Street Corn Dog, topped with housemade roasted street-corn salad, artfully drizzled with sour cream and dusted with chili powder.
