High winds caused damage throughout Montgomery County and left thousands without power from Friday afternoon into early Saturday.
Gusts of more than 50 miles per hour were recorded in the county, according to the National Weather Service.
Trees fell on two houses in Bethesda. Around 6 p.m. on Friday a tree fell on a house in the area of Newington and Marengo roads in Bethesda, Pete Piringer, a Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesman, posted on Twitter. No one was injured.
