For years, Charles Tinnin has worked to place Gold Star and Purple Heart designated parking signs at various locations in Clarksville, Dickson, Erin and Dover. Four parking spots are located at Neal-Tarpley Parchman funeral home in Clarksville for use by the families of U.S. Armed Forces members that lost their lives in service. Tinnin has also worked with legislators across Tennessee to designate highways. 
You know where (Highway) 149 is? Tinnin asked, setting up his response.  That road right there, I got that named Gold Star Family Memorial Highway. 
You know where Stewart County, Cumberland City is? I got that road named last year Gold Star Family Memorial Highway. ....
