Jim Sitzman is a giver so much so that the 83-year-old Banks resident was awarded the Heart of Gold Award by the Wholistic Peace Institute, as part of a virtual ceremony Wednesday, Jan. 20. A Colorado native who s lived in Oregon for more than 70 years, Sitzman has been giving back by way of the church and public service his entire life.
