歌剧《红船》是浙江省庆祝中国共产党成立100周年的献礼作品，由中共浙江省委宣传部、浙江省文化和旅游厅、中共嘉兴市委、嘉兴市人民政府共同出品，浙江演艺集团(浙江歌舞剧院有限公司)、浙江交响乐团、浙江音乐学院、中共嘉兴市委宣传部、嘉兴市文化广电旅游局联合演出制作，历时近4年、集近400人之力打造而成。

在歌剧《红船》中，毛泽东、李大钊、陈独秀等近20位早期共产党人角色同台亮相，用歌剧艺术独有的方式倾情演绎中国共产党开创者在建党前后那个特定历史时期，在革命洪流中的浪漫与激情、思索与进取、沉浮与抉择，托举起恢弘壮丽的建党大业。
