Ahead of the US Presidential election, the Chronicle spoke to US expats who now call Whanganui home, for their thoughts on where the day might end up.

People who a year or two ago were happy with their insurance. they thought they had adequate insurance, then they found out, as the case of a small business person i talked to yesterday from rocky river, that premiums went up 80% because they had two sick people out of 200 that worked for him. or cases i heard from lynn hurst and mentor. all over our state i hear from folks who thought they had good insurance and have a baby with a pre-existing condition or get sick and the insurance company cuts them off. the anxiety people have, even people with insurance, that they need these consumer protections, no more knocking people off rolls because they have a pre-existing condition. no more knocking people off roles because they got sick and too expensive. this will fix this and give small businesses a chance finally to in sure their employees, which is what they want to do in most cases. you spent 14 years in the house before being elected to the senate. you know well that your house ....
