When I first started writing about makeup, Irish products were few and far between. There were a few options, but quality varied and the market mainly leaned into skincare. These days, things are dramatically different.
I can’t stop thinking about holidays. I know I’m not alone because over the last few weeks, almost everyone I’ve spoken to has just booked, is about to book, or is wishing they were booking a holiday. This grey period after Christmas and before the brightness of spring is a lot to take. Unfortunately for me, I am not currently in a position to book a holiday, so I’ve been looking elsewhere for sunshine-y experiences and that absolutely extends to my makeup bag.
It’s my husband Will’s birthday today, “Happy birthday darling!” We celebrated last night as today I have a lunch with all my old Midday crew, meaning author Caroline Grace-Cassidy, singer Mary Coughlan and Elaine Crowley of course. At this time of year, we’re all going to be in ‘party, party, party’ mode for the next few weeks, so our make-up and livers both need to be up to the challenge.
