The new Glickenhaus Le Mans Hypercar completed more than 100 laps on its maiden test over two days at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy this week.
The American manufacturer expressed satisfaction with the run on Thursday and Friday with Romain Dumas and Franck Mailleux driving the Pipo-engined 007LMH World Endurance Championship contender.
Marque boss Jim Glickenhaus revealed that the focus on the first day was on calibrating the car s electronics before extended running began on day two.
On the first day we had to work out the software, which was complicated because with COVID neither the guys from Bosch nor Xtrac [respectively responsible for the car s electronics and gearbox] could travel and we had to establish remote data lines, he told Autosport. ....

Dumas named in seven-man Glickenhaus WEC lineup
Two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Romain Dumas will race for the new Glickenhaus Le Mans Hypercar squad in the World Endurance Championship this season.
The former Audi and Porsche LMP1 driver, a winner at the French enduro in 2010 and 2016, has been named as part of seven-man squad by Glickenhaus Racing for its maiden WEC assault in 2021.
Pipo Derani, Olivier Pla, Richard Westbrook and Franck Mailleux have also been announced as drivers for the team s campaign with a pair of Glickenhaus-Pipo LMH007s run in conjunction with multiple Le Mans winners Joest Racing. ....
