Multi-millionaire Seeby Woodhouse has added luxury lodge owner to his multi-business CV, and has had wellness guru Rachel Hunter hosting a retreat there this weekend.
The lodge is located on Kourawhero Estate, a stunning 40ha section between Puhoi and Warkworth, north of Auckland.
The lodge is named after the kōura, native crayfish, found in freshwater streams, Woodhouse says.
The 44-year-old former party boy is enjoying a more philosophically centred stage of his life.

Coast netball now in North Harbour’s hands
Arms up! It’s business as usual at Hibiscus Coast Netball, despite the club now coming under the wing of Netball North Harbour.
This term sees Hibiscus Coast Netball Club, in Edith Hopper Park, Manly, officially become a satellite of Netball North Harbour (NNH).
Westlake Girls’ School and Glenfield College are NNH’s other satellites.
According to NNH chief executive Lynette Brady, nothing much will change for the children who play at Hibiscus Coast, their caregivers and coaches.
Any zone days and tournaments run at the courts can continue.
What has changed is that a paid convenor is on board to deliver competitions, supported by local volunteers, including parents.

All benefits to property investors Murray Higgs (NZ Herald, February 24) highlighted how unjust it is that property investors claim interest as a tax deductible item. Those struggling to own and live in their own home can t claim the tax deduction. They service the mortgage with already taxed income.
Yet another benefit to a property investor is their ability to borrow. They offer banks multiple security with the number of tenanted homes. Easy to buy yet another property. But a private home owner may only be able to offer the security of servicing the interest by two incomes. Then the issue if one contributor s income is threatened. Perhaps pregnancy or illness.
