The last of the four incidents was at 10:27 p.m., when officers went to the 2600 block of Hunter Avenue on the South Side regarding gunfire and found one house had been hit numerous times in the front and side by a large caliber rifle.
Police said it appeared that residents of the home fired back from the driveway, where officers found 31 spent bullet shell casings.
