you could lose this. yeah. the oil spill is already having an impact on jobs along the gulf coast. and it could get much, much worse. you re watching hln. so glad you re with us on this sunday. i m susan hendricks. well, there are a number of big stories we re following for you this morning. we start with breaking news out of new york. police there have found a car bomb in busy times square last night. apparently a t-shirt vendor saw smoke coming out of a dark green suv parked along 45th street. that s between seventh and eighth in the area. well, he called police who immediately began clearing the area. one witness describes what happened next. i seen the smoke coming out of the car. like seeping out of the windows. you couldn t see what s in the car. you know, nobody could see. as they were trying to evacuate, you know, move everybody away from it, it just went off inside the car. an explosion went on inside the car. reporter: so there actually was an ....
she fought back. now, police hope her courage in a terrifying situation leads them to a dangerous predator. good saturday. the jogger says a man with a knife grabs her in broad daylight as she jogged along the holly trail in northwest washington. the victim managed to fight off her attacker. reporter: a woman jogging here along the holly trail in rock creek park was attacked in broad daylight by a knife-wielding man. he threw her to the ground and attempted to sexual aly assault her. she believes she may have cut the assailant with his knife in the hand. she also may have bit him in the hand also. so we are looking for a person who may have knife and teeth marks on his hands. reporter: the trail is off 19th and holly street. an urban park that borders. people are concerned a predator is on the loose. it s not what you want to occur in a neighborhood certainly. this is the first time something like this occurred that i m aware of. i hope the police are on top o ....
