Court news The trial of a man accused of stealing £1m has been halted. Garry Vernon, who is charged with five counts of dishonestly transferring money from the bank accounts of his wife’s late grandfather, will now face a retrial on January 25. His trial was halted after three days last week when a member of the jury came forward to say they knew one of the police witnesses. Mr Vernon, aged 52, of Glen Auldyn, Ramsey, denies all five counts of theft. Share this story ....
