/PRNewswire/ The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino have announced the details of the nearly $21 million of Local Share Account (LSA) grants distributed to.
More than $21,000 was donated to Westmoreland County charities during the second quarter of 2021 through Live! Casino Pittsburgh’s donation boxes. In all, the Westmoreland County Marine Toys for Tots program received more than $11,945, and Greensburg’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 33 received almost $9,670. Two donation boxes, known
County leaders are touting Live! Casino Pittsburgh as an “incredible economic engine” after the facility pumped millions of dollars into the economy during its first year of operation. Located in Hempfield’s Westmoreland Mall, the casino has seen economic impact investments totaling almost $135 million since opening last November, officials said.
Winners at Live! Casino Pittsburgh have the chance to give back.
Two donation boxes, known as The Giveback Box, are at the Hempfield casino, where guests can contribute slot tickets, cash or table game chips to support local charities. This quarter, benefiting organizations include United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity.

Casino family remains focused on giving back to worthy causes,” said Jill Eden, director of guest services, in a news release. “The casino receives frequent inquiries for donations and sponsorships, and this program showcases these organizations and allows our guests to give back, as well.”
