Dozens of Canada's Christian churches burned down or vandalized


Dozens of Christian churches on Indigenous lands in Canada have been torched or vandalized since June
Countersignal.com estimates there have been about 45 acts of arson or vandalism to Canadian Christian churches or places of worship since June 
The attacks came after the discovery of 1,000 graves of indigenous children near residential schools - many of which were run by the Catholic Church
These institutions were part of an abusive system that the country s Truth and Reconciliation Commission called cultural genocide in 2015 
No arrests have been made, although several churches in Canada are completely burned down 
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops said the pope will meet separately at the Vatican with the Canada’s three biggest Indigenous groups in December ....

Native Christians 'Heartbroken' After Historic Anglican Church Burns

First Nations Christians spoke of being left “heartbroken” after their historic Anglican church burned to the ground amid the ongoing wave of arson attacks and statue-smashing sweeping Canada.
Rosealene Daniels captured video footage of 108-year-old St Paul’s Anglican Church being consumed by fire on Gitwangak First Nations land in British Columbia being consumed by fire. As the fire rages, she can be heard saying: “No matter if this is just a building, it’s something that means to everybody in this village [sic],”.
“When my children seen that they were just so heartbroken, because they have so memories in that church,” she said in comments reported by CBC News: The National. ....
