New amendments to the law on forests would limit timber exports and favour local wood processors in state-owned timber auctions. Previously ruled unconstitutional, the bill was influenced by some of the largest Lithuanian wood processors, LRT Investigation Team reports.
In April, former government vice-chancellor Lukas Savickas and former environment minister Kęstutis Mažeika, representing the Farmers and Greens Union (LVŽS), registered amendments to the Forest Law. Under these amendments, local wood processing factories are favoured in auctions for timber from state-owned forests. ....

The Articles of Association of Grigeo AB amended as the

On 19 May 2021 the amended Articles of Association of Grigeo AB (hereinafter – the Company) were registered in the Register of Legal Entities.
The Articles of Association were amended following the decision of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of the Company of 30 April 2021 to increase the authorised capital of the Company out of the Company’s funds from EUR 19,053,000 to EUR 38,106,000 by issuing 65,700,000 ordinary registered shares with a nominal value of EUR 0.29.
In the coming days the shareholders shall receive new ordinary shares with a nominal value of EUR 0.29 for no consideration, with the number of the shares to be in proportion to the nominal value of the shares owned by them at the close of the rights accounting day (14 May 2021) of the Company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of 30 April 2021. ....

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Grigeo AB (trading code GRG1L, ISIN code LT0000102030, hereinafter - the Company) was held on 30 April 2021. The rights accounting day of the shareholders of the General Meeting of Shareholders is 14 May 2021. The proprietary rights will be held by the persons who, at the close of the tenth working day after the General Meeting of Shareholders which adopted the appropriate decision, i.e. on 14 May 2021, will be the shareholders of the Company. Proceeding from the above, the ex-date is 13 May 2021. From that date the new owner of the shares, which were acquired on stock exchange with settlement cycle of T+2, is not entitled to dividends for the year 2020, as well as not entitled to the newly issued ordinary shares. ....

AB Grigeo (hereinafter - the Company) hereby confirms public information that the subsidiary of the Company, AB Grigeo Klaipėda, received a Civil Claim of the Environmental Protection Department (hereinafter - the EPD) regarding compensation of damage caused to the environment in the amount of EUR 48,257,676.57 from the Klaipėda District Prosecutor’s Office of Klaipėda County Prosecutor’s Office on 26 January 2021. The claim was filed within the framework of pre-trial investigation conducted by Klaipėda District Prosecutor’s Office of Klaipėda County Prosecutor’s Office related to actions of AB Grigeo Klaipėda concerning wastewater management. ....
