Directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal, Gameboys was originally slated to have four episodes, then was expanded into full 13 episodes with an additional (called as Episode 13.5: Alt Gameboys ) dedicated for the series two antagonists. While talks have been made for the highly anticipated second season, the production company decided to give it a film cut which premieres on 30 July 2021.
