ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Ghulam Akbar, a resident of Watapor district of eastern Kunar province who lost three of his sons in Afghan security forces, says he is ready to sacrifice his life for peace in the country.
The 65 years old man, who sustained wounds during a fight against the Soviet Union forces, is a resident of Korbagh area of Watapor district, but he has shifted his home to Asadabad city, the provincial capital, due to security threats.
In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, he said that he lost three of his sons, one in Nuristan, the second in Balkh and the third in Kandahar province in defense of the country. ....

Most labours move to native villages for wheat harvesting

A large number of people who belong to villages and working in different cities of the country including Rawalpindi and Islamabad have moved back to their native villages to help their families in wheat crop harvesting and threshing, reveals a survey conducted by APP.
Ghulam Akbar, a resident of Muzaffargrah who was working here as a mason told APP via telephone that harvesting, threshing of wheat was at its peak and there were chances of an early close of this season. He said as the season of wheat harvesting comes near every one belonging to agricultural areas prefers to go back from cities to help their families in harvesting and threshing of wheat crops. ....
