Iran s outgoing military prosecutor, Gholamabbas Torki, said Tuesday that 10 officials have been indicted over the 2020 military shootdown of a Ukrainian passenger plane that killed all 176 passengers on board.
The indictment of the case of the Ukrainian plane was also issued and a serious and accurate investigation was carried out and indictments were issued for 10 people who were at fault, Torki told reporters as he handed over his duties to his successor Nasser Seraj. ....

Iran has indicted 10 officials over the shooting down of a Ukrainian passenger plane in January 2020 that killed all 176 people on board, a military prosecutor said on Tuesday.
In a report published last month, Iran s civil aviation body blamed the crash on a misaligned radar and an error by an air defence operator.
Ukraine and Canada, home to many of those who died, criticised the report as insufficient after it blamed human error but named no one responsible for the incident. ....

DUBAI: Ten officials have been indicted in Iran over the 2020 military shootdown of a Ukrainian passenger plane that killed 176 people, an Iran prosecutor said Tuesday. The announcement coming just as Tehran begins indirect negotiations with the West over its collapsed nuclear deal with world powers.
Tehran military prosecutor Gholamabbas Torki avoided naming those responsible when he announced the indictments Tuesday while handing over his office to Nasser Seraj. The semiofficial ISNA news agency and the Iranian judiciary s Mizan news agency both reported his remarks.
Last month, Iran s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) published its final report on the Ukrainian passenger plane s crash, identifying a mistake by the air defense operator as the cause of the incident. ....

An Iranian prosecutor says 10 officials have been indicted over January 2020 shootdown of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752, killing all 176 passengers and crew.
“The indictment of the case of the Ukrainian plane was also issued and a serious and accurate investigation was carried out and indictments were issued for 10 people who were at fault,” Tehran military prosecutor Gholamabbas Torki said.
He did not name the defendants.
