Share Gandhinagar: Exploring the contributions of Buddhist philosophy and teachings in Indian civilisation, the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) elective course by the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) will host two lectures by Geshe Lhadkor on ‘The expansion of Buddhism in India and Asia’ and ‘The contributions of Buddhism to Indian civilisation’ on April 14 and 15, 2021, from 3:05 to 4 pm (IST). Geshe Lhadkor is the Chairman of the Education Commission of the Central Tibetan Administration and Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, an important institute for Tibetan studies at Dharamsala. He holds a Geshe degree from the Drepung Loseling Monastery and an MPhil in Buddhist Philosophy from Delhi University. He has served as His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s religious assistant and translator for sixteen years.
