Marnie Abellanida said a total of 99,620 fully grown marijuana plants worth P20.1 million were destroyed in eight marijuana plantation sites in the towns of Bakun and Kibungan. Just last month, operatives uprooted nearly P20-million worth of marijuana plants in those same towns. In Kibungan, 62,170 fully grown marijuana plants, 125 kilos of marijuana seedlings, and 30 kilos of dried marijuana stalks, estimated to be worth P16.039 million, were eradicated by the Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO). Then in a separate operation in Bakun town, operatives of the Benguet PPO discovered 16,150 fully grown marijuana plants, with an estimated value of P3.23 million, in different sites in Barangay Kayapa.
