Paper lanterns are being carefully and skilfully made in preparation for the fourth Geraldine Lantern Walk on Saturday. The biennial event that lights up a cold winter night is organised by the Geraldine Academy of Performance and Arts and seen as a way of getting the community together, academy chairman Rhys Taylor said. “It is not based on any pagan festivals, it is acknowledging mid winter and brings people together with a family event.”
