Our opponents say things are okay, dont rock the boat, not to worry. They say we should be satisfied. But i dont think we can be satisfied when were spending 150 billion a year on interest alone on the National Debt, much of it going to foreign bankers or when 25 of our High School Students are dropping out of school or when we have two and a half million of our fellow citizens, a third of them veterans, who are homeless and living on streets and doorways in this country or when mr. Bushs prescription for our Economic Future is another tax give away to the rich. We can do better than that. Not working with government alone but all of us working together. Lloyd bentsen and i are optimists and so are the American People. We ask you for your hands and your hearts and your votes on the eighth of november so we can move forward in the future. Kitty and i are very grateful to all of you for the warmth and hospitalitity youve given to us in your homes and communities all across this country.
