Share COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 15 seed Ohio State women’s tennis team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship, as it downed UIC, 4-0, Friday at the Auer Tennis Complex in Columbus. The Buckeyes, now 22-3 on the year, will face Vanderbilt, which defeated Ball State 4-0 in the first round Friday, at noon Saturday for a spot in the Round of 16. Tournament Central The Buckeyes won the doubles point and three straight-set singles matches vs. the Flames (19-6). Lucia Marzal and Irina Cantos Siemers won in both singles and doubles, with freshman Madeline Atway’s singles victory clinching the team win. Lisa Hofbauer and Luna Dormet also won in doubles. ....
