Georgia activists working to overcome the republican takeover of local functions. hi jonathan, thank you for having me. there s a lot we can do here on the ground to work against this. part of it starts with the federal voting rights legislation. very exciting that is getting legs. moving forward. want everyone to advocate for that certainly. elections happen on a local level. here in georgia, we have 159 counties. which means there is 159 different election offices where people can go and be involved with the elections process. so we are really encouraging people to do just that. get involved locally. attend local board of elections meetings. this is where the big decisions are being made about how many voting locations are available. where they will be. the eighth poll worker. poll workers are honestly, they are to monitor here heroes. absolutely integral to the functioning of elections. ....
